Choosing Sachin as next captain will be a step behind. Sachin will have nothing new to give as a captain. See masterblaster past captaincy record only 35.07% one day match had won under his captaincy and in test the percentage is as low as 16%.It is proved captaincy had dented his batting performance.. Nevertheless he failed to set up a single milestone in his tenure.
Choosing Ganguly as next captain I think far more better option. He besides an aggressive captain a natural leader and has a tough mentality. He has astonishing record of winning 43% of test match and 53% one day match under his captaincy. He has set up lots of mile stone viz, test series victory against Pakistan in Pakistan, wining Natwest Trophy, beating Steve’s unbeatable team etc.
But the actual problem lies in both the contender will soon get their retirement. So for future I hope a young team member with the potential will be opt for the post. It may be Dhoni or Yubaraj but pls don’t select the old boys for the hot seat.
